Editorial: Husain Feels Honoured by Qatar The Editorial Team
Famous painter Mohammad Fida Husain has very cleverly tried to conceal his desertion and defection from a citizen of India by birth to a citizen of Qatar by coating his decision in a diplomatic language of Qatar having bestowed an honour on him by offering him its citizenship which he gladly accepted. This just amounts to his desertion of India, the country, to quote his own words, "he loved the most". Now, like modern day lovers who profess their supreme love one day a... Read More >> |

Unable to digest, leave alone convincingly justify, the w... Read More >> |

He has now shunned his citizenship of the Indian nation to move to the greener pastures of Qatar. He had all along been alternating been claiming that he is not in exile but has been roaming one country or the other out of his own free will and in December 2009 saying that he had been forced into living a... | No Nationalism Makes India Weak | No Nationalism Makes India Weak
Aneeta Chakrabarty
n a small town in Texas, two Indians found themselves in the lobby of a plush doctor's office. They looked at each other, and then quickly looked away. With furtive looks, they tried to evaluate each other as questions buzzed in their minds, "What does he do?", "Wonder if he is an H1B or a green card holder?", "Is he married?, and finally, "Where is he from?" Both showed an eagerness to communicate, but the big wall of prid... Read More >> |
