Editorial: Parliament Dithers Again on Ram Temple The Editorial Team
The parliament debating Liberhan Commission Report once again dithered on the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya. The government as well as opposition needlessly wasted their energy on fixing blames on each other rather than resolving the issue. ‘Secular liberals’ Are a Threat to Bharat Amba Charan Vashishtha
It may not be an exaggeration to say that politicians - and more so, the Indian variety - are men without a heart. They have no love for anybody; they just have the infatuation for votes that satiates their lust for power. There is another feeling. Vir Sanghvi's article in Hindustan Times on December 06, 2009 titled "Ayodhya for dummies" is a sad reminder of the disconnect between media and academia in India. A well known columnist writing for one of the widely circulated dailies can display such a poor understanding of history makes one to believe that the days of serious journalism are over. Sanghvi boasting as "all-knowing" commentator makes observations that are not known to the recorded history of our times, and th... Read More >> |
