Some in the country may be seeing India moving ahead pleading to ignore negative trends and see the positive picture - but are we really moving ahead is a question which still perturbs many. The fact is that if we see ourselves in comparison to other countries around us most of these positive indicators turn negative. While China has surged much ahead of us, we are content with competing with Pakistan and Bangladesh. Sri Aurobindo was born Aurobindo Ghose in Kolkata (Calcutta), India, on 15 August, 1872 to Dr. K. D. Ghose and Swarnalata Dev. In 1879, Aurobindo and his two elder brothers Manmohan and Benoybhusan were taken to Manchester, England for a European education.
