Not a day passes by without the media reporting atrocities and murders perpetrated by Muslim terrorists in one or the other part of the world. Though not all Muslims are terrorists but Islam does seem to monopolize churning out of terrorists. Let us examine some of the reasons for the functioning of this violence-spreading factory.

Prophet Mohammed's behavior is an example to all Muslims. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace in the mould of Buddha or Gandhi there would have been no problem. But a glance at his biography shows that Mohammed was a warlord, a pedophile, and had ten wives - four at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. It is this example which is primarily responsible for the violence that Muslims have been taking all over the world for the last 1400 years.

 UK Muslim leader Anjem Choudary says basic Islamic teachings from the Quran shaped his pro-jihad message. He says about Islam not being just another religion but an ideology that is all encompassing and worth fighting and dying for. He applauds the 9-11 terrorists and considers ‘Jihad' against Christians and Jews as mainstream and authorized by the Quran. He is hoping to overthrow the British government and replace it with one based upon Sharia law.

All over the world political correctness doesn't allow the media or the political establishment to consider the real character and teachings of Islam. We may consider Choudary to be a radical but in the context of Islamic thought he is far more ‘mainstream' than any politician would acknowledge. Fact is that Sharia Law is a major component of Islam and cannot be separated from it though many of the fundamental laws are in direct conflict with fundamental human rights, laws, and democratic institutions.

Anyone who has listened to the intercepted phone conversations from 26/11 or Kashmir in July 2010 knows that the jihadis have a cynical disdain for the loss of human life. A few dead children would mean nothing to them. What matters is the jihad and its goal of subjugating idol-worshipping, infidel India once more to the domination of Islam. This is their stated objective and you can look it up on their websites. Kashmir is a mere pawn in this grand plan. If by Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh the Kashmir Valley has to be made independent tomorrow it would be a matter of months before a Taliban type group took charge.

Every few days Pakistan makes the worst kind of headlines: bombings in markets and mosques, battles with the Taliban. But, much less widely reported, the daily lives of millions of Pakistanis are consumed by another problem. They have to cope with desperate poverty. This emanates directly from Islam. Pakistanis are obsessed with killing and becoming myrtles rather than improving their lives with economic activities.
