WHO SAYS THERE'S EQUALITY BEFORE LAW IN INDIA?
LIBERALISTS -SECULARISTS ARE NARROW-MINDED HYPROCITES
Without going into what other things Mr. Varun Gandhi may have said, both the media and the Election Commission of India (EC) seem to have given weightage to his reportedly saying that if any hand was raised against Hindus, Varun would sever it. Such averments we hear and see every other day. People threaten that if anybody cast an evil eye over his wife or daughter, he will smash the eye. Parents would say that if anybody even touched their son or daughter, they will peel off the skin of that bastard. That action only amounts to a warning, not a criminal offence. Such a warning acts as a deterrent to those who may wish to commit such a crime against their families. It doesn't hurt the innocents. Crime will take place only if the first condition was met. If nobody does that, the warning has no effect and is redundant with no crime committed.
Our liberal secularist intelligentsia and media are aghast at what they call Mr. Varun Gandhi's "hate speech". He was arrested, put behind bars and NSA was invoked against him. Later, the Supreme Court of India, on appeal by Mr. Varun Gandhi, intervened and the UP Government was kind enough to withdraw it.
The Election Commission instantly ordered registration of a case the moment the alleged CD was flashed by the electronic channels. It gave notice to Mr. Varun Gandhi. From day one he claimed that the CD was "doctored". EC was - as was Mr. Gandhi - a layman to say for certain whether it was morphed or not. EC neither had the patience to wait to seek the expert opinion from a forensic expert itself nor did it allow Mr. Gandhi to produce one. Instead, it hastily hustled itself into rejecting within four days, on March 22, Varun's contention that the CD has been "doctored". EC said it "has seen the CD, not once but several times, and is fully convinced that the CD has not been tampered with, doctored or morphed..." Prior to the receipt and consideration of the reply from both Mr. Varun and BJP the then CEC Mr. N. Gopalaswami on March 19 had said at Kolkata, that the burden of proof that the video of his speeches was "doctored" lies on Varun Gandhi. But strangely, Mr. Varun Gandhi was not afforded the opportunity to do so.
