Dear Sirs,
I am the one of the many voters who did not vote for you preferring to concentrate on local issues instead. I had faithfully voted for you in the previous two general elections. But sadly this time around your party was not worth the effort. Let me tell you why, in spite of some admirable individuals, you no longer seem to be that different from the Congress after all.
1) Let us go back to your first time in power. You came to Delhi riding on a wave of promises to restore pride to Hindu community. But what did you actually do, besides trying to introduce astrology as science subject? The Ram mandir issue was not settled: either one way or the other, leaving it as a open wound that you can exploit whenever elections roll round. No matter what compulsions you plead it showed a lack of resolve. Then there was the issue of Kashmiri Pandits; or rather the non-issue --- they continued to suffer as refugees in their own land unable to go back while you remembered them only during your campaigns. In the international front nothing reduced the threat of Pakistan. One has to ask whether Congress would have done anything differently.
