In one of the most gruesome attacks, Naxal- Maoists have Killed 76 CRPF personnel in a systematic booby-trap in Dantewara, Chhattisgarh. While the nation stands shocked, the policy makers need to realize that Naxal-Maoist problem now cannot be taken as something which would be resolved by handling it softly and reluctantly. It cannot be dealt as routine matter, it needs to be dealt with urgency and determinedly. It is high time to realize that Naxal-Maoists are not a baby crying for milk, who can be pampered by feeding', rather they are the most deadliest stealth enemy of the state backed by some ‘intellectual sympathizers' and hugely nurtured by bloody  political ideology internally and well fed by hostile external forces. Now it is time to act and not to dither.

Naxal-Maoist groups have substantially halted developmental process in remotest area of our country leaving millions of tribal and poor people out of the ambit of development despite India's emerging as one of the upcoming economic powers. Naxal-Maoist's sole motto is to put India's tribal and backward section of society impoverished so they can put blemishes on Indian democracy to glorify their ideology through the barrels of gun. From Pashupati to Tirupti, they have tried to institutionalise their barbaric ideology through their lunatic approach of beheading and killing of poor. And they left no stone unturned so as to attack Indian democratic system through their barbaric ways of justice system.

Unless and until the nation understands the grave nature of the threat posed by these Naxal-Maoist groups and acts with urgency, the situation will not be retrieved from the cobweb of confusing approaches that has dominated the decision making set up until now. There may be some disagreement within some political parties about mode to tackle the threat which has fast become a terror machine in connivance with Islamic and other terrorist groups, but on the whole, they appear willing for a decisive fight despite few ‘intellectual sympathizers' who can not deter the state if resolve is firm.

A democratic nation cannot tolerate such uncivilized ideologies which feed on the blood of innocents and poor. Internal threats and dissensions have been continuously creeping in our institutionalized system in one form or other using such mindless and reckless violence necessitating long term course correction in our approach and policy making set-up. We need to weed out pacifism which has become hallmark of our system and made us a soft state which keeps dithering and rarely acts strongly.
